Responses: Easy Pantyhose

This author writes about why full length hosiery, such as pantyhose and tights, are so uncomfortable and difficult to wear: The case of the stubborn pantyhose.

Read the remainder of the blog entry, to see my opinion, and my suggestion on how to find the right size.

Public Relations & Mending Broken Relationships

I recall meeting somebody in person, who was very excited to meet me, because he had been following me on MySpace for some time. Unfortunately, I said something, and I'm sure it offended him, even though I never intended to offend him at all. I'm sure that he remembers it quite well.

Now that I have a better understanding of how people think in different situations, I have come to regret what I did. I think that I needed to see it from a public relations point of view. From that perspective, I needed to be more sensitive to his needs, standards, and desires. At the time, I chose a particular phrasing, because I thought that it was more accurate, and I still do, even though it is considered offensive by many people. Now that I am thinking about it from his perspective, I choose to phrase these thoughts differently.

I'm going to try to contact him tomorrow, and ask for his forgiveness. He'll probably not forgive me, but at least I'll try.

Used Hosiery: First Attempt At Sewing It

You all probably remember my previous blog entry about turning used hosiery into underwear.

I practiced a bit with the old hosiery that I have. It turns out that it is really hard to do with ordinary thread. The particular sewing machine that I use is partially to blame. It doesn't have the same stitches that the professional machines have. The hosiery does stretch after sewing, and it does seem to have a nice clean seam, but it doesn't really stretch as well as the other seams. Maybe that's a good thing for underwear. The seam, that I made, stretched about 1.8 times the normal length. I might be able to improve that, but that's about it.

I'll keep you updated. For more ideas, click used, which can also be found in the right column, under Popular Topics.

Am I Hot Or Not?

Since I have new outfits, I decided to upload my new photo to give it a shot. So far, I see a big improvement, compared to before. Before, I usually got around 6. You could bookmark this page, and then come back to see my score change. For those of you who would like to show me some support, click on the image below, so that you could rate me.

Don't forget to show me your HotOrNot photos. Post them in the comments below, with the banner, like I did, so that we could show you a little bit of support.

[Update: the script and image no longer work; it was just an image of me wearing my green suit and green hosiery.]

Save 15% Off Of The Book That I Wrote: "The Blog Entries Of Hosiery Advocate"

For those of you who didn't know, I wrote a book, called, "The Blog Entries Of Hosiery Advocate". It's a collection of my blog entries, from my previous hosiery blog.

I published it with Lulu.com. It turns out that they made a mistake, which made it hard to use their search engines to find my book. To make it up to me, they let me give away this coupon for purchasing my book at 15% off.

Buy my book at 15% off.

Razzamatazz Stockings Promotion Ended

I got a reply from Razzamatazz. It seems that the promotion has ended. I'm very disappointed. Maybe it was only available for this business week. Their Twitter feed said nothing about it ending.

[promotion is over] Free Stockings From Razzamatazz

[Update: they claim that the promotion has ended, even though they uploaded the photo on Tuesday, and it is Thursday.]

Well, gals, it seems that Razzamatazz can't keep their products on the shelves. They are literally giving away stockings to each Aussie girl, who...eh, read more about it below. Guys, I've sent an email on our behalf. We'll wait to see what happens. Until further notice, I think that we're out of luck. :^(

The Razzamatazz Girl Has Been Chosen!

For those of you, who are eager to find out who the contest winner is, but haven't been following along, go find out who the winner is.

I was a little disappointed in the video that they shared, because it was very hard to tell if the girls were wearing any hosiery at all. I don't think that it is just the video quality.

I Finished Making My Kilt!

It's about time. I just finished it about 10 minutes ago.

There were a lot of mistakes, and I'm sure that I'll do better next time. Near the end of the project, it got to the point where it was getting tedious, and I began to drag my feet, because I didn't know how to ensure that it would turn out okay. There was nothing that I could do to ensure that it would turn out better than the way that it is. This was my first kilt project, and I just had to accept the fact that experience would be the best teacher, and that I would have to learn the hard way.

I'll try to get some photos for you all, in the next 2 weeks. I just need to get my camera set up.

I'll probably go back to the sewing machine, after this, and make some flashes.

For those of you just joining us: I wanted to make a kilt, to help draw positive attention to the fashion trend of mainstream heterosexual men wearing shorts and hosiery [i.e. pantyhose, tights]. Typically, I wear my shorts and hosiery without a kilt. I hope to wear a kilt with socks and flashes, and hosiery underneath it all. I think that a kilt could be a very masculine part of it all.

Used Hosiery: Underwear [i.e. pantyhose; tights]

I realized that now that I can sew, I can actually start using control panties from used hosiery to make underwear. I think that I'll need to take 2 pairs to make 1 custom pair. I think that for men, we would really need to make a nice pouch at the front. For women, I don't know, but I'm sure that it isn't that different.

I'll keep you all updated. It'll be a while before I get started though, because I have so much that I need to do. For more ideas, click used, which can also be found in the right column, under Popular Topics.

Used Hosiery: Macramé [i.e. pantyhose; tights; stockings; stayups; holdups]

I just thought of something that we could do with our old hosiery. We could use them in macramé projects.

As I collect them, I'll begin to try out different projects and keep you updated. I am curious about what I could possibly do with them. For more ideas, click used, which can also be found in the right column, under Popular Topics.

Lizzie, An Inspirational Woman With Adversity

[This is a repost from my main blog, with slight modifications.]

I read Thu's blog entry about a woman, named Lizzie, with a rare disease. It causes her to not gain weight, which has more serious consequences than bulimia and anorexia, in my opinion.

Read more to find out what this means to me.
